Node.js Developer

About The Role: We are seeking a skilled Node. JS Developer to join our dynamic team in Irving, TX, for a project duration of 12 months or more. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in API development, particularly in designing and implementing RESTful APIs following best practices. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to develop scalable, efficient, and secure backend services. The developer will be responsible for building and maintaining server-side applications using Node.js, Express, and Socket. IO, ensuring seamless integration with various databases and cloud services. Experience with AWS infrastructure is essential for deploying and managing applications in a cloud environment. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects that impact a wide range of clients and industries.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in backend development with Node.js. Strong proficiency in API design principles and building RESTful APIs is required. Experience working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, and SQL databases like PostgreSQL or MSSQL, is essential. Familiarity with cloud services, particularly AWS, is a must-have. Candidates should have hands-on experience with frameworks such as Express and Socket. IO, along with knowledge of front-end build tools like Gulp, Webpack, and NPM. A solid understanding of web security, authentication, and authorization mechanisms is also necessary. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and backend services using Node.js and related frameworks. Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions. Implement best practices in API design, including versioning, documentation, and security protocols. Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliability and responsiveness. Integrate applications with NoSQL and SQL databases, ensuring data integrity and efficient query performance. Deploy and manage applications within AWS cloud infrastructure, leveraging services such as EC2, S3, and Lambda. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry standards. Conduct code reviews and participate in team meetings to improve development processes. Stay updated with emerging technologies and incorporate them into projects to enhance functionality and performance.
