This is a meaningful opportunity to support an underserved population while working alongside a dedicated, multidisciplinary clinical team. Compensation Hourly Clinical Rate: Negotiable Weeknight On Call (Mon Fri, 5:00 pm 8:00 am): NegotiableWeekend On Call (24 hours): Negotiable Schedule Clinical Hours:Monday Friday8:00 am 5:00 pmOn Call Coverage:Weeknights: 5:00 pm 8:00 amWeekends: 24 hour shiftsMust be reachable and able to report to the hospital within 2 hours during standby periods. Responsibilities The Locum Pediatrician will:Provide comprehensive pediatric medical care for infants, children, and adolescentsDiagnose and treat acute and chronic pediatric conditionsPerform evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide follow up careSupport both inpatient and outpatient pediatric servicesRespond to after hours calls during assigned on call shiftsCollaborate closely with nurses, APPs, and other hospital staffDocument all encounters in the electronic health recordSupport the mission of IHS to improve the health of American Indian and Alaska Native communities Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited institutionBoard Certified or Board Eligible in PediatricsActive, unrestricted U.S. medical licenseAbility to obtain/maintain IHS clinical privilegesCurrent professional certifications as required by the facilityExperience in rural, tribal, or underserved communities preferred Location Chinle Comprehensive Health Care FacilityChinle, Arizona located in the heart of the Navajo Nation, surrounded by rich culture and stunning Southwest landscapes.
