About KIND Mentoring
KIND Mentoring is a community-based initiative dedicated to equipping and empowering youth through faith-based mentorship, life skills training, and character development. We partner with families, schools, and local organizations to help young men and women in Anderson County discover their purpose, build leadership qualities, and make positive life choices.
Position Overview
KIND Mentoring is seeking a Volunteer Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our growing mentoring program. This individual will play a key role in keeping the organization organized, connected, and effective—helping our mentors focus on impacting lives.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people.
Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and program staff
Assist with scheduling, correspondence, and meeting coordination
Maintain volunteer and mentee databases
Help with document organization, reports, and digital filing
Manage emails and phone communication with volunteers and community partners
Support the planning and logistics of community events and mentorship sessions
Contribute to social media and outreach communication (optional but preferred)
Qualifications
Strong organizational and communication skills
Comfortable with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar tools
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Prior administrative experience preferred (not required)
Must reside in or near Anderson County, SC
