Accountability, Data Analysis, and Performance Reporting SpecialistJOB STATUS: OPEN POSTING DATE: 05/04/2026 CLOSING DATE: 05/08/2026 04:00 PM POSTING NUMBER: 053373 LOCATION: Admin School Improvement & Assessment885 POSITION TITLE: Accountability, Data Analysis, and Performance Reporting Specialist JOB DESCRIPTION:The primary purpose of this position is to provide leadership in data disaggregation, use of assessment results, and local assessment practices. Assist the Coordinator of Accountability with organizing, planning, and coordinating school improvement activities under the federal and state accountability systems. Function as a positive, effective employee of the District directing, researching, and providing other services as needed to local campus personnel.DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist in the coordination of Federal and State accountability programs as directed.Assist in the supervision, coordination, facilitation, and evaluation of accountability programs.Assist in working with campus leadership to improve student performance and campus accountability results.Assist in the overall leadership for developing a comprehensive school improvement program.Provide training and support to campus instructional coaches and leadership teams in the areas of data, goal setting, planning, assessment, and accountability.Assess and interpret District student performance data and convey results of this analysis to all stakeholders.Stay informed of best practices for student assessment.Assist in efforts to ensure that compliance requirements for State and Federal accountability programs are met.Assist with the coordination and communication of the school improvement process to campus and District stakeholders.Design and conduct professional development activities at the District and campus level in support of the school improvement process.Assist with interpreting Federal, State, and local assessment data as it relates to the school, to individual achievement, and to the improvement of instruction.Collaboratively work with campuses and departments to identify areas of improvement, define needs, and help develop solutions for implementing the State and Federal accountability programs.Collaborate and design school improvement trainings for District and campus administration.Assist with State and Federal audits.Support the Coordinator of Accountability and Department of School Improvement to interface with appropriate agencies.Assist with the development of the annual District reports and compliance timelines.Attend appropriate conferences and trainings to improve student achievement through planning, data analysis, and school improvement.Participate in the selection, design, and implementation of data management programs and processes.Serve on District committees as assigned.Articulate the District's mission, philosophy, and implementation strategies to the community and solicit support in the realizations of these goals as they pertain to research, assessment, and accountability.Maintain confidentiality of information.Maintain regular attendance.Perform other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 3 years teaching experienceMinimum of 2 years campus or district-level leadership experienceMinimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis or assessmentExperience with Federal and State AccountabilityKnowledge of Assessment and Data Analysis Tools QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification:Master's degree or equivalent work experience in data analysis or assessmentTexas teaching certificationSpecial Knowledge/Skills:Knowledge of the State and Federal accountability and assessment systemsKnowledge of student assessment, educational measurement, and statistical methodsSkill in gathering/organizing/analyzing/interpreting data, utilizing various statistical techniques, applying concepts to assist in formulating conclusions and developing recommendations and solutionsSkill in presenting and training users effectivelyAbility to maintain confidentiality of privileged and sensitive informationAbility to comprehend complex systems and technical information and explain effectively to a wide variety of stakeholdersAbility to perform duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness, and work with minimum supervisionAbility to communicate effectively, both oral and written, technical and complex assessment data and concepts to a varied audience utilizing tact and diplomacy and maintain CONTACT INFORMATION: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Frequent lifting and moving of boxes.
