SLP Paraprofessional

Job Description:The Speech-Language Paraprofessional supports Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) by assisting in the assessment, screening, and implementation of therapy plans for individuals with communication disorders, under the supervision of a qualified SLP.Under the Supervision of an SLP the responsibilities include:· Assisting with Assessments:Assist in administering and scoring screenings, and may help with data collection during assessments.· Providing Direct Therapy:Provide direct therapy services, following the SLP's guidance and protocols.· Documenting Performance:Document student performance, including data collection, charting, and reporting information.· Training and Technical Assistance:Provide training and technical assistance to students as directed by the SLP.· Programming AAC Devices:Assist in programming augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.· Supporting Service Delivery Models:Assist in providing therapy through various service delivery models.· Maintain Confidentiality:Maintain student and family confidentiality.
