Bindery Operator

*Duties*
* Operate and maintain various bindery equipment including cutters, folders, stitchers, and large-format printers to ensure efficient production flow.
* Adjust and troubleshoot industrial machinery such as flexo presses, digital printers, and screen printing equipment to meet production specifications.
* Interpret production documents accurately to determine binding methods, finishing requirements, and quality standards.
* Perform color management tasks to ensure color consistency across different print jobs and materials.
* Conduct quality control checks throughout the binding process to identify defects or inconsistencies and implement corrective actions promptly.
* Collaborate with prepress teams using software like Adobe Creative Suite and prepress software to prepare files for printing and finishing.
* Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to safety protocols and operational procedures.
*Requirements*
* Proven experience operating bindery machinery such as cutters, paper binding equipment, folding machines, and large-format printers.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and adjust industrial equipment efficiently.
* Familiarity with print production processes including digital printing, flexo press operation, screen printing, and prepress workflows.
* Proficiency in graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite) and prepress software for preparing print files.
* Knowledge of color management principles to ensure accurate color reproduction across various media.
* Ability to interpret complex production documents related to layout design, typography, print advertising specifications, and manufacturing instructions.
* Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control throughout all stages of bindery operations.
