Senior Litigation Attorney

We are seeking a seasoned Litigation Attorney with 6+ years of hands-on litigation experience (preferably including first-chair trial work) who is eager to step into a courtroom-centered role with autonomy, impact, and visibility. Key Responsibilities
Manage and litigate cases from initial stages of litigation through trial and appeal
Serve as first or second chair in trials, hearings, and mediations
Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and discovery responses
Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
Prepare clients and witnesses for deposition and trial testimony
Review and analyze medical records, discovery, and expert reports
Research, brief, and present complex legal issues persuasively
Appear regularly in court and advocate zealously for clients
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in Texas, in good standing
6+ years of litigation experience, including meaningful trial preparation or first-chair participation
Exceptional legal writing and courtroom advocacy skills
Strong organizational and leadership abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and case management systems
Must successfully complete standard firm screening procedures

Houston Galleria area litigation firm that handles complex personal injury and commercial disputes. We are looking for a licensed lawyer with at least 6+ years of hands-on litigation experience (preferably w/ first chair trial experience). This position will provide the selected candidate with exceptional first-hand court experience from the start. Excellent writing skills, academic background, motivation and enthusiasm are required.
Job Responsibilities And Duties
6+ years of litigation experience, and not afraid of the courtroom;
1st (or at least 2nd) chair trial experience;
Managing the litigation of a case from start to finish;
Drafting pleadings and discovery;
Conducting depositions and mediations;
Preparing witnesses for depositions and/or trials;
Reviewing medical records and discovery;
Researching and briefing the law;
Investigating facts and technical issues relating to cases;
Appearing in court, at hearings and trials;
Meetings with clients;
Communicating with lawyers and staff inside and outside the firm; and
Other duties as may be determined by supervisors.

Requirements
JD degree from accredited law school;

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $170,000.00 - $230,000.00 per year
