Opportunity An exceptional Physician Medical Director is needed to support a Global Fortune 500 company in the Quad Cities for coverage during December and January. This role is ideal for an Occupational Health Physician Leader who thrives in a dynamic environment, balancing clinical responsibilities with client interaction, mentorship, auditing, and education.The position includes 80% direct patient care and 20% administrative duties, directing clinical operations and supporting PA/NP providers. Scope of Services The Medical Director will oversee a full spectrum of occupational health and outpatient services, including:Assessment and treatment of work-related and non-work-related injuries/illnessesWorkers compensation evaluations and regulatory examsPreventive health services and medical surveillanceFit-for-duty and pre-placement evaluationsUrgent and episodic careInitial evaluation and stabilization of patients requiring higher-level careDirection, support, and education for PA/NPsConsultation and collaboration with onsite providers Duties & Responsibilities Provide 80% direct patient care and 20% administrative oversightServe as the primary Occupational Health clinical leaderInterface with and support the client on Occupational Health mattersDirect the medical practice of PA/NPsOffer consultation and educational support to PA/NPsProvide outpatient-level occupational medicine servicesConduct medical surveillance programs and regulatory examsTreat work-related conditions and provide urgent care for non-work-related issuesPerform fit-for-duty, pre-placement, and DOT evaluationsUtilize MD Guidelines effectivelyAssess and stabilize patients requiring EMS or a higher level of care Qualifications Required:Valid and unrestricted medical licenses in Illinois and IowaCurrent DEA registration and any applicable state-controlled substances registrationsBLS certificationDOT certificationAcceptable board certifications/experience:Board Certification in Occupational MedicineOR Dual Board Certification in Occupational Medicine and a Primary Care SpecialtyOR Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice with a Sports Medicine fellowshipOR Board Certification in Emergency Medicine with strong orthopedic and occupational health experience
