We are looking for a professional who is comfortable working in a rugged, equipment reclamation environment. While the office areas are functional construction trailer, the facility itself is busy, dirty, and fast-paced. Accounting Manager Primary Responsibilities include:In this role, you will own the accounting function. While you report to the CFO, you are expected to manage the daily financial engine of the company independently and with high precision. System Ownership: Act as the "Super User" for QuickBooks, ensuring all data entry, classifications, and reporting are handled correctly. P&L & Ledger Management: Take full responsibility for the Profit and Loss statements and maintain the General Ledger to GAAP standards. Cash Reconciliation: Manage and oversee all daily cash reconciling processes; accuracy is critical in this high-volume, fast-moving environment. Month-End Close: Independently execute the full month-end closing process, ensuring all reconciliations are completed on schedule. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the AP and AR specialists, ensuring the team stays accurate and productive. Financial Reporting: Prepare and present clear, accurate financial packages for executive review. Operational Oversight: Monitor internal controls and financial data specific to an equipment reclamation operation. Accounting Manager Requirements include:Software Expertise:Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks is required. You must be comfortable navigating the platform's specific workflows. Accounting Experience:5+ years of progressive experience in accounting; we need a "subject matter expert" who can work with minimal supervision. Technical Mastery: Deep proficiency in P&L management, General Ledger maintenance, and Cash Reconciliation.Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required. Cultural Fit: A resilient, professional, and grounded attitude. You must be comfortable working in an equipment reclamation facility setting. Systems Proficiency: Beyond QuickBooks, you must have advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables and V-Lookups).
