Plant Technician
Inca Presswood Pallets is a manufacturer of Engineered Molded Wood™ packaging products located in Dover, OH
We are currently looking for a qualified Plant Technician working primarily the day shift, full time with competitive pay, and excellent benefits including 401k and paid vacation.

Position Summary
The Plant Technician supports the efficient operation of the manufacturing plant business. This position is responsible for directing work activities engaged in repair, maintenance and installation of machines, tools, and equipment. The Plant Technician manages plant capital projects and is responsible for plant property and equipment assets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Maintenance Engineering:
Project planning with the Plant Manager and plant management team.
Responsible for the plant work order system.
Specification of spare parts and equipment.
Communicating with thePlant Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor on upcoming work orders and projects.
Periodic parts & equipment analysis based on performance or excessive usage.
Plant Engineering:
Management of engineering projects including research and design, field measurements, drawings, and coordinating with contractors
Working with the Plant Manager, and Maintenance Supervisor on specific production related projects to improve the performance of machines and processes.
New drawing creation for plant items and equipment.
Equipment: Monitoring & Testing
a.Boiler and Steam Generator Water Tests (weekly)
b. Maintaining the Water Analysis Logbook.
c. Water Softener Maintenance.
d. Hydraulic water analysis and testing (weekly)
e. Hydraulic water panel tests monthly.
Electrical Management:
Electrical project manager, from concept through production.
Upkeep/upgrade of current electrical components, including installation and repairs.
PLC understanding, ladder programming alterations, new programming a plus.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Qualifications:
· Must work in a safe and efficient manner.
· Must have knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting as well as 480V distribution and operating systems.
· The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of plant engineering and design as well as the optimization of plant systems and the upgrading of older PLC systems over the next 3-5 years.
· Candidates must have a 4-year electrical engineering degree or 4-year electrical engineering technology degree with a minimum of 4 years of practical experience.
· Must have 5= years of experience in manufacturing plants
· Ability to develop, read, interpret, and understand electrical and hydraulic process control diagrams.
· Knowledge of Project management
· Must process good communication skills (verbal and written)
· CAD design experience
· Periodic travel to Mississippi plant as needed.
Hands-on work will be required as part of the job.
Experience:
Electrical engineering: 4 years (Preferred)
PLC: knowledge preferred.
480V electrical: 2 years (Required)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. They must be able to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk and reach with his hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Exposure to a noisy work environment.
Exposure to hot and humid conditions.
Exposure to coolants, oils, grease, and water.
Ear and Eye protection is required at all times in designated production areas.
Steel toe boots are required at all times.
