We are family-owned and operated with a focus on community impact by creating quality real estate solutions in underserved areas.Web City Construction (WCC) is our new MBE-certified commercial construction division focused on doing commercial finish-out subcontracting with a goal to graduate into being a general contractor that has the capacity to develop large residential and flex projects across Texas.We're now hiring the business development operator who will help us to create and grow our pipeline of general contractors and owners in DFW.This is structured as a commission-heavy role for a BD professional who would like a solid base with high upside based on performance and opportunities to grow alongside a young, ambitious firm.What You'll OwnBuild and manage our target list of GCs, developers, and direct owners across DFWGet us on prequalified bid lists at every major DFW commercial GC shopDrive direct outreach, in-person meetings, lunches, and more relationship-building activities with precon directors, senior PMs, and procurement teamsRepresent us at TEXO, AGC Dallas, ABC North Texas, NAIOP, and similar industry eventsManage the bid pipeline from first contact through invitation, submission, and awardBuild and maintain a CRM of relationships, opportunities, and pursuit historyDevelop capability statements, BD collateral, and pursuit-specific positioning materialsPartner with the operations team on bid strategy, pricing, and pursuit go/no-go decisionsHit booked revenue and gross profit targetsWho You Are5+ years in business development, sales, or pipeline development specifically within commercial constructionA real, active book of GC, developer, and/or owner relationships in DFW or a comparable Texas marketTrack record of personally booking $5M+ in annual commercial construction revenue at a prior shopComfortable with cold outreach, in-person prospecting, and the long sales cycles of commercial constructionStrong understanding of how commercial bid lists, prequalification, and GC procurement actually workFamiliarity with finish-out, TI, and ground-up commercial project typesExcellent written and verbal communicationSelf-directed, organized, and comfortable building a function from scratchCompensationThis role is intentionally structured to reward production. The right candidate will see most of their compensation come from commission and performance bonuses, not base salary.Base salary: $75,000 – $95,000 depending on experience and existing bookPer-project booking bonus on every signed contract: scaled by project sizeCommission on project gross profit paid as projects bill outAnnual performance bonus tied to total booked revenue and division pipeline targetsLong-term ownership participation is on the table for the right operator who proves they can build the BD function into a real engineEstimated year-one comp equates to estimated $125,000 to $175,000To ApplySend a resume and a brief note describing (a) the largest single contract you've personally booked at a prior commercial construction company and (b) the GCs, developers, or owners you'd be picking up the phone to call in your first 30 days.
