Role Description This is a part-time on-site role for a Direct Support Professional located in Minneapolis, MN. The Direct Support Professional will assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by supporting their daily living activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their well-being. Responsibilities include providing guidance, maintaining a safe environment, implementing training programs, facilitating communication, and fostering positive interpersonal relationships. This role requires compassion, reliability, and a dedication to improving the lives of individuals served. Qualifications Experience in Human Services and supporting individuals with Intellectual DisabilitiesStrong Interpersonal Skills and the ability to build positive relationshipsEffective Communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to implement and participate in Training programs as neededPatience, empathy, and a commitment to helping others achieve their goalsHigh school diploma or equivalent (required); additional certifications or training in human services are a plusWillingness to undergo background checks and adhere to ethical standards
