Nature Program Leader

Action Kids Summer Day Camp is looking for a Program Leader to deliver a Nature Program that is engaging, safe and fun for all of our campers. End of Summer Bonuses and Referral Bonuses Essential Job Functions: Deliver a fun and creative nature program that incorporates weekly camp themes and is appropriate for the age and ability of the campers (pre-k to gr 6). With administrative support, work pre-camp and throughout the summer to develop nature activities that have an array of focuses and make use of the camp’s natural environment. Work with administrative support, work pre-camp and throughout the summer to develop and present a weekly, all camp “choice block” activities with nature and/or a STEAM focus. Assist in the management and care of the physical facilities and equipment in the nature program area Maintain and ensure the integrity of the nature equipment and supplies including maintaining inventory, monitoring and requesting supplies in a timely manner. Conduct a daily check of the area and equipment for safety, cleanliness, and good repair. Clean nature area daily, keeping it free of hazards and debris. Other Job Duties: As a member of the camp leadership staff, assist with development, delivery and supervision of special events, other all-camp activities and camp functions. Participate enthusiastically in all camp activities, assisting group counselors as assigned. Assist in the planning of any special events. Qualifications, Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Passion for sharing a love of the outdoors and nature Previous training/experience in providing programming for children. Ability and desire to positively engage with all age levels of campers Desire to embrace a leadership role and work cooperatively all camp staff ability to work outdoors and in varied weather conditions.
