Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) – Contract / PRN Location: Florida (Event-Based Assignments) Position Type: Contract / PRN Company: Florida Emergency Responders-Event EMS Position Summary Florida Event EMS is seeking skilled and dependable Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to provide on-site medical care for events, private functions, corporate gatherings, festivals, and large-scale public venues across Florida. This contract, PRN position offers flexible scheduling, competitive compensation, and the opportunity to work in dynamic, team-oriented environments. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Deliver professional basic life support care during assigned events Perform patient assessments and provide appropriate medical treatment within scope of practice Respond to medical incidents including illness, injury, dehydration, heat-related conditions, and minor trauma Accurately complete patient care documentation and incident reports Maintain readiness of medical equipment, supplies, and treatment areas Communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors, event staff, and partner agencies Escalate care appropriately and initiate higher-level medical response when indicated Maintain a calm, professional presence in public-facing and high-visibility settings Minimum Qualifications Active Florida EMT certification Current AHA BLS CPR certification Valid Florida driver’s license Ability to pass background screening Strong clinical assessment and communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Comfortable working outdoors, in large crowds, and varying weather conditions Professional appearance and demeanor required Preferred Qualifications Previous experience providing medical coverage at events or large venues Familiarity with crowd medicine or standby medical operations Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Physical ability to stand for extended periods and assist with patient movement Compensation & Advancement Competitive hourly pay Pay differentials based on experience, certifications, and leadership responsibilities Opportunities for advancement into advanced clinical and supervisory roles Why Join Florida Event EMS Flexible PRN scheduling Professional leadership and medical oversight Clear career advancement pathways Supportive, team-based culture Work a variety of unique and high-profile events across Florida How to Apply Qualified candidates should submit: Resume Copy of Florida EMT license Current BLS CPR certification Apply at www.FloridaEventEMS.com or follow application instructions provided in the job listing.
