Chief Finance Officer - Remote (US Based)Location: Remote (US-based) Company: Princeton Staffing SolutionsPrinceton Staffing Solutions is a US-based staffing organization supporting schools with allied health professionals across the United States. We operate in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment where financial accuracy, timely reporting, and strong controls are critical to business success.Position OverviewThe CFO is a hands-on executive leader responsible for overseeing financial operations and supporting the rapid, technology-driven growth of an allied healthcare staffing organization serving K-12 school districts. We are executing a nationwide roll-up strategy and building the "next generation" of staffing by layering in AI efficiencies to drive significant growth and margin expansion.This role partners closely with the President/CEO to build foundational, tech-forward processes that scale with the business. This is a remote based working CFO role for a motivated leader who is comfortable operating at both the strategic and tactical levels today, with the hunger to grow into a much larger executive role as we scale over the next 12–18 months.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Strategy & PlanningPartner with the President/CEO to develop annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term growth plans that support an aggressive M&A strategy.Provide clear financial insights to support pricing, hiring, and AI-driven margin expansion.Build and maintain scalable financial models to support school-year revenue cycles and staffing demand.Financial Operations & ReportingOversee day-to-day accounting, payroll, billing, and reporting.Ensure accurate and timely monthly financial statements and cash flow reporting.Manage payroll-heavy cash flow and ensure consistent payroll execution.Track and report key metrics such as gross margin by discipline (PT, OT, SLP), pay-to-bill ratios, and contract profitability.Systems & Process ImprovementManage and optimize systems with a focus on automation and AI integration.Improve visibility through AI-enhanced dashboards and real-time reporting tools.Partner with internal teams to ensure financial systems align with timekeeping and credentialing processes.Qualifications & ExperienceRequiredEducation: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.Tenure: 7+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience.Sector Expertise: Experience in staffing, healthcare, or another labor-driven, payroll-intensive business.AI Mindset: A deep interest in and excitement about AI; ideally, you have hands-on experience experimenting with or implementing AI-driven finance and automation tools.Operational Grit: Comfortable working in a lean, hands-on environment while maintaining a focus on a massive scale-up opportunity.PreferredCPA or MBA.Experience with school-based services, education staffing, or public-sector contracts.Experience supporting a founder-led or PE-backed organization through an aggressive growth or "roll-up" phase.Key CompetenciesPractical, solutions-oriented financial leader with a passion for emerging technology.Strong attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture.Clear communicator with non-financial stakeholders.High integrity, accountability, and a high comfort level with rapid change.Why Join UsMission-Driven Impact: Play a vital role in an organization where every placement directly impacts the development and lives of children nationwide.Architect the Future: Shape the financial and technological foundation of a fast-moving organization.Direct Partnership: Work as a primary partner to ownership, executive leadership, and PE sponsors.Incentives: Competitive compensation with growth opportunity and potential for a small amount of equity.
