Medical Team LeadGarden City - Garden City, UT 84028; Montpelier - Montpelier, ID 83254 OverviewUnder the direction and supervision of the Clinic Administrator, the Team Lead is responsible for assisting in the effective, efficient operation of the clinic to ensure that the day-to-day procedures such as scheduling patients, processing fees, maintenance of facility records, as well as general office duties are completed in a timely and professional manner. In addition, the Clinic Team Leader will perform those Medical Assistant or Medical Receptionist duties as needed each day in response to patient demand. Essential FunctionsFollow and encourage Health West's mission and goals Promotes effective communication among staff in the clinic, maintains a positive work setting with providers and staff, and a positive, supportive working relationship with other clinics and Health West administration Support nursing and reception with daily workflows as needed or directed by the Clinic Administrator Provide nursing or reception back-up in the event of staff shortages Ensure that all general office duties such as filing of patient charts, ordering supplies, etc. are completed in a timely manner Act as VFC primary coordinator by assuming role and responsibilities set by the immunization program including proper vaccine management and primary contact for fridge and freezer temperature monitoring system Oversee and control supplies that directly impact patient care (e.g., ordering and charging of stock medications, vaccines, medical supplies, crash cart and patient care equipment and/or supplies) Assist in quality management direction and oversight for nursing and reception as directed by the Clinic Administrator Oversee laboratory process, quality control adherence, and documentation of compliance Assist in directing nursing and reception with appropriate charting and documentation (e.g., testing, procedures, injections, patient demographic information, slide documentation, correct billing information, ROI's) Assist in coordinating with other departments to ensure timely and accurate patient flow Assist in coordinating with Clinical Trainer for new hires, yearly skills check off reviews, and on an as needed basis to ensure staff is up to date with workflows and procedures Participate in conducting regular staff meetings with the Clinic Administrator Complies with Health West Inc.'s policies and procedures Maintains excellent customer relations and receives and responds to complaints and suggestions for improvement from patients and the community by reporting to the Clinic Administrator Oversee nursing and reception day to day operations in the absence of the Clinic Administrator Other duties as assigned QualificationsMinimum Requirements: Education: High school Diploma or GED LPN/CMA license/certification Current BLS certification Experience: 2-3 years supervisory experience preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Up to date nursing or medical assisting skills Good Communication Skills Computer Skills Excellent Customer Service Skills Excellent leadership skills
