Tool Engineer
Program Production And Development EngineerThis position will support the program production and development activities related to tooling and will involve design, procurement, internal manufacturing build, proposal, maintenance, supplier and production floor visits, defining/leading the path forward for the new group, and any other program related activity regarding tooling. The position requires frequent communication and collaboration with people located across the United States including other Manufacturing Engineers as well as other functions including Design Engineering, Systems Engineering, Quality Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Finance, Production Planning and Control, Contracts, and Program Management.Basic Qualifications:Bachelors of Science in an engineering or technical fieldAbility to interpret drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, product/performance specifications, and other systems integration technical data5+ years experience in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)5+ years experience with Pro-E/Creo/Windchill or other CAD systemKnowledge of ASME Y14.55+ years experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)Ability to travel domesticallyEffective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaborationDemonstrated effective communication skills including verbal, listening, technical writing, and presentationsDesired skills:Has DoD Secret or above clearanceAbility to travel internationallyMasters degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering preferredExperience with toolingKnowledge of manufacturing and processesKnowledge of drawing release processExperience of Model Computer Aided Design (MCAD) processExperience with Additive Manufacturing/3D PrintingExperience with SAPExperience with Property ManagementExperience in design for manufacturingExperience in machining, welding, and castingsDemonstrated ability to evaluate the design activities and implementation of production process methodology to prevent impacts to production velocity and qualityDemonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complexDemonstrated mechanical design, analysis, and test experienceProven ability to improve cost, schedule, quality, and/or safety
