Technical Project Manager – Data & Analytics (Microsoft Stack)One of our premier clients is seeking a senior, highly experienced Technical Project Manager to lead a large-scale Data & Analytics implementation within a Microsoft technology environment. This role requires a strong leader with proven expertise managing enterprise data initiatives across Power BI, Azure, and Microsoft Fabric platforms.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience coordinating cross-functional technical and business teams, driving complex project delivery from planning through release, and ensuring successful execution in fast-paced enterprise environments. This position requires the consultant to work on-site 4 days per week in Northern Virginia.Key ResponsibilitiesLead enterprise-level Data & Analytics implementation projects utilizing Microsoft technologies including Power BI, Azure, and Microsoft FabricManage full project lifecycle delivery from project initiation, planning, execution, testing, deployment, and release managementCoordinate and collaborate across multiple teams including Development, QA, UAT, Analytics, Infrastructure, and Business StakeholdersDrive project accountability, track deliverables, manage timelines, and ensure programs remain on scheduleCreate, manage, and monitor project plans, milestones, dependencies, releases, and deliverablesFacilitate Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint tracking, and release coordinationCreate, track, and manage Jira tickets, workflows, and sprint mapping activitiesIdentify, manage, and escalate project risks, issues, blockers, and dependenciesUtilize Microsoft Project and Jira extensively for project governance, reporting, and execution trackingSupport implementation and delivery of enterprise DataMart and Data Warehouse solutionsEnsure effective communication between technical teams and business leadership throughout the project lifecycleRequired Skills & ExperienceProven leadership experience managing Microsoft-based Data & Analytics implementationsStrong expertise with:Power BIMicrosoft AzureMicrosoft FabricExpert-level experience using Microsoft Project and Jira for enterprise project deliveryHands-on experience managing tickets, sprint boards, dependencies, milestones, releases, and workflowsStrong Agile/Scrum project management experience including sprint execution and stand-up facilitationExperience managing complex enterprise programs involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teamsDemonstrated ability to drive accountability, resolve issues, mitigate risks, and maintain delivery timelinesExperience implementing enterprise DataMart and Data Warehouse solutionsExcellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience working within large enterprise or highly matrixed environmentsStrong understanding of modern data architecture and analytics platformsAbility to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and priorities effectively
