Store Associate

As a Store Associate, you will be responsible for offering fast and friendly customer service in our gas station. The Store Associate is responsible for performing all cashiering, stocking, cleaning and customer service duties that focus on providing an exceptional customer experience.ResponsibilitiesEnsure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent customer serviceAssess customers needs and provide assistance and information on product featuresWelcome customers to the store and answer their queriesMaintain assigned areas in-stock and in presentable conditionActively seek out customers in storeRemain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available optionsPerform housekeeping duties, as assigned and assist in maintaining a clean and inviting store appearance.Process POS (point of sale) purchasesAssist in ensuring that all pumps, equipment, signs and facilities are functioning and look good.Work in the walk-in coolerMaintain a safe work environmentAdhere to tobacco and alcohol sales regulationsCross sell productsHandle returns of merchandiseMaintaining all food service and beverage areasTeam up with co-workers to ensure proper customer serviceBuild rapport with customers and provide a pleasant shopping experienceComply with inventory control proceduresSuggest ways to improve sales (e.g. planning marketing activities, changing the store’s design)SkillsProven work experience as a Retail Store associate, Sales representative or similar roleBasic understanding of sales principles and customer service practicesProficiency in EnglishBasic Math skillsAbility to stand on your feet for long periods of timeAbility to lift and stock cases that can weigh up to 50 poundsWorking knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirementsFamiliarity with inventory proceduresSolid communication and interpersonal skillsA friendly and energetic personality with customer service focusAbility to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely mannerAbility to understand and comply with company policies and procedures relating to the safe and proper handling of convenience store and petroleum productsAvailability to work flexible shiftsHigh school degreeJob Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $11.00 per hourBenefits:Flexible scheduleShift:10 hour shift8 hour shiftWeekly day range:Weekends as neededEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: In Person
