Under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, trainees receive hands-on experience and classroom instruction to develop the skills necessary to provide high-quality care to residents in a skilled nursing facility.Essential DutiesParticipate in approved CNA training program provided by the facility or affiliated institutionAssist residents with basic care needs such as grooming, dressing, and hygiene under supervisionObserve and report changes in residents' conditions to licensed staffHelp with meal service, feeding assistance, and hydration supportMaintain a clean and safe environment for residentsLearn proper infection control and safety proceduresSupport residents' mobility and comfort with guidance from nursing staffAttend all scheduled training sessions and complete required courseworkDemonstrate compassion, respect, and professionalism in all interactionsQualificationEducation and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredEnrollment in or eligibility for a state-approved CNA training programInterest in pursuing a career in long-term care or nursingAbility to follow instructions and work as part of a teamStrong communication and interpersonal skillsPhysical DemandsFrequent standing, walking, bending, and liftingAssisting residents with mobility and transfersPhysical ability to perform caregiving tasks and lift up to 50 lbsAbility to respond quickly to resident needs in a fast-paced environment
