Role Description This is a contract role for a Tax Accountant, based in the New York City Metropolitan Area with a hybrid work setup, allowing a combination of in-office and remote work. The Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing individual and business tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Additional responsibilities include analyzing financial statements, managing tax filings, and offering strategic tax planning to optimize client financial outcomes. Qualifications Proficiency in Tax Compliance, Tax Preparation, and knowledge of relevant tax codes and regulationsExperience with Financial Statements and Accounting tasksDetail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environmentBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldCPA certification or working towards CPA certification is a plusProficiency in accounting software and tools is preferred
