Bottomless Coffee!About The RoleInteger Technologies is currently hiring an Industry 4.0 Manager reporting to the Director of Digital Engineering. The Industry 4.0 Engineering Manager will serve as Principal Investigator (PI) on large, multi-year research programs with an emphasis on digital engineering applied to advanced manufacturing. The Industry 4.0 Engineering Manager is responsible for ensuring that the project is executed to a high standard of excellence while simultaneously keeping engineering personnel focused on achieving quarterly and yearly prototype and product development milestones. This role also encompasses the management of personnel supporting related projects. Many of our projects focus on using sensor-informed edge-deployed models to make real-time assessments of mission goals and provide systems operators with decision aids to maximize mission outcomes. Executing this approach for manufacturing systems and processes requires holistic system-wide modeling and simulation approach with a distillation of relevant factors correlated with desired outcomes. Therefore, we are particularly interested in candidates who have experience in developing multi-domain models, integrating them with hardware to create digital twins of components and systems, and leveraging them in combination with process-specific information for autonomous decision making and reasoning within autonomous and human-in-the-loop systems.Integer is a science and technology research and development organization. As such, much of our work entails developing solutions for complex problems that presently have no known solutions. To achieve internal and customer project goals all candidates must be able to perform research, understand new concepts from other engineering disciplines on advanced and complex topics, and document findings in a way that is easy for non-experts to understand. The Industry 4.0 Engineering Manager must be able to serve as a Principal Investigator and a technical contributor with the technical background to contribute to the development of new technologies and prototypes, while also serving as an effective communicator and manager of individual contributors of various levels of experience.Primary ResponsibilitiesEmbody Integer's core values of integrity, agility, growth, open-mindedness, and commitment: https://www.integer-tech.com/who-we-are.Serve as Principal Investigator (PI) for a research program with an emphasis on advanced manufacturing techniques leveraging digital engineering.
