Quality Assurance Engineer
Job Title: QA EngineerLocation: Santa Clara, CA (Onsite – 5 days/week)Duration: 6–12 month contractPay Rate: $70–$75/hourOverviewWe are seeking a QA Engineer to join a growing team within the GPU software division, focused on testing GPU drivers and gaming systems across PC, cloud gaming, and Tegra platforms. In this role, you will validate new GPU features and hardware before release, ensuring high-quality performance and compatibility for end users.ResponsibilitiesExecute testing across PC, Cloud Gaming, and Tegra productsRun gaming workloads and benchmark tests to validate GPU and system performanceIdentify, document, and track defects through detailed bug reportsCommunicate test results and status updates to stakeholdersReview existing test plans and contribute to test automation where applicablePerform system-level testing in Windows environments, including OS installation and troubleshooting (e.g., blue screens, driver issues)Install and validate GPU drivers and ensure compatibility across systemsConduct display and system configuration testing to verify stability and performanceSupport hardware-level testing, including swapping GPU componentsAnalyze system behavior using debugging tools (Windows debugger preferred; Linux tools for kernel/memory dumps are a plus)Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)2–4 years of experience in QA, testing, or related engineering rolesExperience with system-level testing in Windows environmentsUnderstanding of GPU architecture, drivers, and hardware validation processesFamiliarity with benchmarking tools and end-to-end testing practicesAbility to install and troubleshoot operating systems and driversStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailSelf-driven and capable of working effectively under tight schedulesInterest in scripting or codingPreferred QualificationsExperience with Linux (kernel logs, memory dumps, debugging)Familiarity with Windows debugging toolsBackground in automation QAExperience with BSP or CorebootHands-on hardware experience (component swapping, system builds)Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
