You're the engineer who stabilizes production when others are still diagnosing. We need DevOps professionals who can step into unknown AWS environments, restore order from disorder, and drive uptime beyond 99.9% through genuine monitoring, automation, and root cause analysis. You'll break down complex projects into achievable daily tasks, deliver production-ready Python or JavaScript, and leverage AI as your assistant.Many organizations claim "cloud expertise" while manually nursing individual systems. We're systematizing reliability across dozens of acquired SaaS offerings where founding engineers have departed and documentation is incomplete. The challenge: you'll employ agents and current tooling to explore unfamiliar systems 5–10x more efficiently, document your findings, and automate solutions so recurring failures become impossible. Rather than judging you on certifications and technology lists, we'll observe you troubleshoot in real time, produce a genuine 5-Whys analysis that identifies one actionable root cause, and construct automations that endure production conditions.This isn't a tier-2 "follow the runbook" position. Here, you create the runbooks, architect the deployment path from development through staging to 10% to full release with soak periods and rollback criteria, and implement the monitoring that detects corner cases. You reject risky changes before deployment. You distinguish infrastructure issues under your ownership from application bugs owned by Engineering, and you route permanent corrections to the appropriate team.You'll operate at the reliability engineering center, managing infrastructure initiatives, incident handling and RCAs, and change requests accompanied by copy-paste-ready runbooks.
