Development Engineer

We are seeking a Development Engineer who will design, develop, qualify, and provide production support for brand new products. The Development Engineer will collaborate with the engineering teams and operations to design, develop, and qualify batteries according to customer specifications and documentation requirements in line with project timing and budgets.Duties:• Conducts research and development into parts, materials, and assemblytechniques.• Collaborates with the engineering teams and technicians to execute and deliverexisting and new products.• Leads all development phases including design, prototyping, validation, and pilotproduction.• Prepares and presents internal and customer facing preliminary and criticaldesign reviews.• Plans, develops, and executes Design of Experiment (DOE) for fabrication andtesting• Works closely with engineering and operations teams to determine battery designand mechanical characteristics.• Develops processes/tooling for pilot scale manufacturing.• Coordinates and executes product development trials.• Summarizes and presents respective results, with conclusions, and recommendations.• Develops assembly and process specifications, along with other engineeringdocuments.• Performs root cause analysis.• Other duties as assigned.Requirements:• BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical or related Science orEngineering discipline• 3 - 5 years’ experience in R&D, or Product Development• Computer skills in Microsoft Office applications• Good interpersonal and communication skills.• Ability to collaborate in a team environment.• Self-motivated and hands-on.• Detail oriented• Ability to manage multiple tasks.• Understanding of contract data requirements list (CDRL).• Proficient in solving engineering problems through analysis, computationalmodeling, and building/testing of prototypes
