Extrusion Operator- 3rd Shift

3rd Shift Extrusion OperatorIncludes a 6% shift differential on top of base pay.Previous wire or plastics extrusion or wire and cable experience highly preferred.Machine Operator ResponsibilitiesSet up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycleControl and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machinesInspect parts with precision and measuring toolsTest operation of machines periodicallyFix issues that might occur during the shiftCheck output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flawsKeep records of approved and defective units or final productsMaintain activity logsSkills/Experience1+ years of extrusion experienceWorking knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)Previous manufacturing environment requiredUnderstanding of production proceduresAdherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)Analytical skillsAttention to detailTeamwork and communication skillsPhysical stamina and strengthDemonstrate proficiency in English, including verbal and written communication and comprehension.Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
