This dynamic role involves working at the intersection of software development and hardware integration in our innovative space technology environment.Responsibilities:Support development, provisioning, and checkout of Python/ROS2-based systems using COTS hardwareDevelop and update device drivers to ensure optimal system performanceImplement provisioning process improvements through automation and scriptingConduct software checkout and troubleshooting on testbeds and hardwareContribute to system reliability and performance enhancementsESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONSProficiency in C/C++ (embedded/RTOS/Linux) and Python (tools/automation); strong experience with Git and collaborative development workflowsExperience with ROS/ROS2, instrumentation/control systems, driver/platform debugging, data acquisition/measurement theory, or debugging auto-generated codeDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot both basic hardware (wiring, power) issues and software issues.Proficiency with scripting and automation toolsAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environmentBONUS QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge of Ansible and BashHardware/software integration experienceFamiliarity with EtherCAT and/or motor driversWHY AVERRO?BENEFITS: We offer premium benefits to our contractors.VETERAN OWNED: We support and place a high number of veterans.Averro is an equal opportunity employer, and we are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
