Associate Cloud ML Platform Engineer Location: RemoteContract to hireRate: 34 - 38.50/HRAbout the Role:Enterprise AI only works when the teams building on it can trust it. In this role, you'll help make that true for a large healthcare organization by building and running the shared cloud services behind its centralized AI Gateway and governed agentic AI framework, so that models and AI services are deployed, secured, monitored, and used in line with strict compliance and healthcare regulatory standards.You'll work day to day alongside Lead and Senior Cloud ML Engineers while owning real pieces of the platform on your own across AWS and Azure. The heart of the job is cloud platform engineering: networking, infrastructure as code, access controls, observability, and production operations. Machine learning engineering and LLMOps are a strong second focus, as you evaluate new AI capabilities and support model-serving integrations. Over time, you'll become a trusted advisor to engineering teams designing scalable, observable, and responsibly governed GenAI and agentic solutions.What You’ll Do: Build and operate the shared cloud services and tooling behind the enterprise AI Gateway, including endpoint management, model access, usage tracking, and operational monitoringDesign, deploy, and support cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure, including private networking, VPC/VNet design, DNS, routing, and load balancing, using Terraform and/or CloudFormationWrite reusable, testable Python for automation, APIs, SDKs, and platform toolingManage CI/CD pipelines and environment-based deployments, and troubleshoot production issues as they ariseImplement IAM, RBAC, secrets management, logging, and alerting to keep AI services secure and aligned with healthcare compliance requirementsSupport model-serving integrations and evaluate new GenAI and cloud AI services, offering clear technical recommendationsAdvise engineering teams on building governed, observable agentic AI solutions that follow Responsible AI standardsWhat You Bring: Strong professional Python experience building scripts, services, automation, or platform tooling that is maintainable and well testedHands-on AWS and/or Azure experience, including IAM, cloud-native services, and cloud networking (VPC/VNet, DNS, routing, secure service-to-service connectivity)Infrastructure as Code experience building, modifying, and troubleshooting Terraform and/or CloudFormationSolid software engineering fundamentals: Git workflows, debugging, testing, REST API development, and CI/CD pipeline experienceWorking knowledge of logging, monitoring, observability, and alerting, plus experience troubleshooting production systems and managing the lifecycle of APIs and service endpointsFamiliarity with ML workflows, model deployment or serving, and GenAI/LLMOps conceptsNice to have: Databricks (Model Serving, Unity Catalog, Mosaic AI), AI or API gateway experience (model routing, quotas, rate limiting), RAG and agentic patterns, PHI/PII protection and AI governance exposure, or an AWS, Azure, GCP, or Databricks certificationWhy Join Us? 401(k) Matching PlanMedical, Dental, & Vision PlansRelationship Driven Process to Find Your Best Fit6 Paid HolidaysRegular Meetings to Ensure Quality in Your EngagementHow to Apply: Ready to help build the foundation for responsible AI at scale?
