Strategic Finance Professional

As a Strategic Finance Analyst within Publishing, you'll report to the Global Head of Publishing Finance. Your team works with senior go-to-market leadership on all topics related to budget and finance. Initially, you will leverage your financial modeling and operations skills to manage, maintain, and improve key operational models and processes. Over time, you will develop into a strategic thought partner for go-to-market leadership for one or more games or functions within Publishing. Your financial craft expertise, coupled with a strategic mindset and player-value orientation will help you increase the efficiency and performance of a world-class Publishing organization.ResponsibilitiesPublishing Wide Financial OperationsLearn, update, maintain, and build complex financial models to understand, plan, and report Publishing’s financial performanceManage, maintain, and improve budgetary tracking systemsPartner with central Finance, Tax and Treasury, Accounting, and Purchasing functions to service the needs of the Publishing organization and Riot as a wholeWork with cross-functional teams to improve financial and operational processes within the organizationAssists and/ or drives ad hoc analysis and projects as directed by leadershipSupport the annual planning process, including budgeting and forecasting within Publishing and iteration on and development of existing planning modelsOperational Strategy and Strategic PlanningAid in the development of financial frameworks that guide senior publishing and live operations leadership thinking through complex or ambiguous resource allocation problemsCreate communication materials such as models, presentations, and other forms of written documentation, tailored to the right audience level (e.g. management seniority, area of expertise)Build effective working relationships with stakeholders across Publishing functionsRequired Qualifications2 to 5 years experience in investment banking, management consulting, corporate strategy, strategic finance, FP&A, or corporate finance roleExceptional financial modeling and analytical skillsExperience managing analysis of complex or ambiguous problem spaces spanning multiple organizationsAbility to work independently within defined areas and manage multiple prioritiesKnowledge of or willingness to deeply learn financial systems for planning and reporting such as OneStream, Hyperion, etc.Knowledge of or experience working in one or more of the following topics relevant to Publishing:Gaming or Entertainment business modelsFP&A and/ or Financial OperationsInternational market strategy and operationsDesired QualificationsExperience with Marketing organizations, from both strategic and financial perspectivesExperience building resilient systems with the aid of Artificial IntelligenceKnowledge of tools that can automate and simplify financial data analysis and visualization (examples include VBA, SQL, R, Alteryx, Tableau, Looker)For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes your fellow Rioters, who are the customers of your work.
