This is an entry level position that supports the manufacturing operations in producing and supplying the basis for all consumables production within the And ResponsibilitiesPlate bottoms, top and adhesive assembliesManual and/or automated assemblyMaintain lot-to-lot consistency in plate assemblyMaintain inventory levels for intradepartmental useMaintain operation levels for all equipmentStandardization of equipment dailyPreparation of materialsPlate bottom cutting and testing (visual/electrical) for optimal performanceExecute plate plasma treatmentsExecute plate (barcode) labelingFollow daily production task list to completionTeam collaborationSpecific duties may vary depending upon departmental requirementsExperience And QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentExperience with manufacturing environments controlled by MRP and/or ERP systems for managing part and product inventory levels is preferredExperience working in a regulated ISO or GMP environment is preferredExperience producing consumable items for diagnostic instrumentation or medical devices is highly preferredA demonstrated level of consistency in performance and an aptitude for managing additional responsibility and accountability are required for next level considerationKnowledge, Skills And AbilitiesDemonstrate an aptitude for learning and adhering to standard operating procedures and practicesAbility to complete daily production task lists within standard operating hoursDemonstrated ability to work with automated equipmentExcellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skillsEffectively communicate issues/problems and results that impact timelines, accuracy and reliability of laboratory dataProficiency in MS Office Suite and the quantitative background to advance this knowledge on the job is expectedAbility to multi-task and work productively in a demanding manufacturing environment with changing prioritiesUse and development of interpersonal skills to support team collaboration is expectedPhysical DemandsThis position requires the ability to communicate and exchange information, utilize equipment necessary to perform the job, and frequent lifting up to 50 lbsUp to 80% of the day may be spent at a work station and/or in the cleanroomWork EnvironmentStandard industrial laboratory, logistics and/or cleanroom environmentCompensation SummaryThe annual base salary for this position ranges from $32,200 to $45,500. This salary range represents a general guideline as MSD considers other factors when presenting an offer of employment, such as scope and responsibilities of the position, external market factors, and the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, education and experience. Employees may qualify for a discretionary or non-discretionary bonus in addition to their base salary.
