Job Title: Inpatient CoderLocation: RemoteIndustry: HealthcareAssignment Type: Contract-to-HirePay: $32.00 – $42.00 per hour, based on experienceWork schedule: Monday - FridayBenefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).About Our Client:Our client is a large academic hospital seeking an experienced Inpatient Coder to join their growing coding team. This is a full-time remote opportunity with a consistent Monday–Friday schedule.Job Description:The Inpatient Coder will be responsible for accurately coding inpatient medical records while maintaining established productivity and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience coding in a large academic hospital environment and a strong background across a variety of complex specialties and procedures.Key Responsibilities:Perform accurate inpatient medical coding using ICD-10-CM/PCS guidelines.Review clinical documentation to assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes.Maintain a productivity standard of approximately 2 charts per hour.Maintain a minimum of 95% coding accuracy.Code across a broad range of complex specialties and procedures, including:Cardiac proceduresSurgeriesObstetrics/Moms & BabiesTransplantsOrthopedicsNeurologyGastroenterologyOncologyCollaborate with clinical and coding teams as needed to ensure accurate and compliant coding.Qualifications:2+ years of inpatient coding experience.Experience coding for a large-sized academic hospital.Strong experience with complex inpatient cases and procedures.Experience with EPIC.One of the following certifications preferred/required:AHIMA CCSRHITRHIAPerks:Fully remote opportunityFlexible start and end timesConsistent Monday–Friday scheduleFull-time, 40-hour workweekOpportunity to work with a large academic healthcare organizationAddison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
