Job Title: Senior Azure / Microsoft Fabric ArchitectType: Contract (6 Months)About the OpportunityA large enterprise organization in Middle Tennessee is seeking a Senior Azure / Microsoft Fabric Architect for a 6-month contract engagement. This organization is mid-transition from Tableau to Power BI and operates an enterprise-scale analytics environment supporting 800–1,200 internal creators and 10,000+ dealer and external users. The right candidate will come in as a subject matter expert, assess the current architecture, provide strategic direction, and help establish a proper QA environment — all while keeping a fast-moving organization on track.What You'll DoEvaluate and reevaluate the existing Azure and Microsoft Fabric architecture, identifying gaps, risks, and unknown landmines before they become larger problemsProvide expert direction on the Tableau to Power BI migration and ensure proper connectivity to the organization's Fabric environmentLead integration efforts between Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and key data sourcesDesign and help implement a QA environment that has been absent due to the pace of growthServe as the go-to architecture authority for a team that has strong general technical skills but lacks deep Azure and Fabric expertiseAdvise on best practices for managing an enterprise-wide Power BI environment at scaleCollaborate with internal stakeholders including the Director of Data and AnalyticsWhat You'll BringDeep hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure architecture and integrationStrong Microsoft Fabric knowledge, including connectivity to integrated data sourcesExperience with enterprise-scale Power BI environments (creator and viewer scale)Snowflake and AWS knowledgeProven ability to assess existing architecture and provide clear, actionable recommendationsExperience building or establishing QA environments within data and analytics platformsAbility to work independently, communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and move quickly without sacrificing qualityEnterprise environment experience — this is not a small shopNice to HavePrior experience supporting Tableau to Power BI migrationsFamiliarity with dealer or distribution network data environmentsExperience in manufacturing, automotive, or similarly complex industries
