Occupational Therapist School Setting - Canandaigua, NY

An opportunity is available for a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) specializing in school-based therapy to support students with diverse and multiple diagnoses. This position is based in Canandaigua, NY, within a single school building, offering consistency and the ability to build meaningful relationships with students and staff.Key Responsibilities:Provide occupational therapy assessments and interventions tailored to students aged 13 to 22 with multiple diagnoses.Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.Monitor and document student progress and adjust therapy goals accordingly.Support students in developing functional skills necessary for academic and daily living success.Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of accommodations and modifications within the educational environment.Qualifications:Valid Occupational Therapy license with experience in school-based settings.Expertise in working with adolescents and young adults with complex needs.Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and school personnel.Ability to work independently within a structured school environment.Commitment to student-centered care and evidence-based practice.Schedule and Location:Full-time position, 37.5 hours per week.Work hours: 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.Contract term: ASAP start through the end of the school year (June 26).No travel between buildings; all work conducted within one school facility in Canandaigua, NY.This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' educational and developmental outcomes within a supportive team environment.
