We maintain a professional and team-oriented environment.*Qualifications & Skills:** High School Diploma* Excellent computer skills (Required)* Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, critical thinking and problem-solving skills* Ability to work independently, establish work priorities, and manage time effectively* Verbal and written communication skills* Ability to work well with others and be an effective member of the team* Reliable transportation* Coding “C” programming language basics or equivalent, PLC logic (Required)* Must be flexible on duties assignment due to the possible service requests (bug fixes), or internal software developments between new activities with customers.* Knowledge of QT, CAD and communication protocols like J1939 are preferred qualifications.* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel* Basic “IT” knowledge (networking, software and computer setups) is an additional preferred qualification.*Job Duties:** Develop software code, mainly in C language, using COBO developed software tools and commercia tools like Freescale CodeWarrior, and QT, for COBO designed and manufactured devices (display, gauge clusters).* Test and validate the software, interact with customers for the definition of the specification and the final software validation.* Develop basic logic for COBO I/O modules to interact with real world machine functions.* Basic knowledge or ERP systems, AS400 preferred, to be able to look up parts and systems BOMs* Work on internal software developments, like components or wiring harnesses test programs if not engaged with customers activities.* Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access* Test and debug customer returned parts with alleged defects that might be related to software. xibtplm * Identify COBO system components and the COBO part number associated to them* Communicate with customers when clarification is needed* Document the software (manuals creation)*Benefits** Health/Dental/Vision Insurance* Company paid short/long term disability* Company paid life insurance* Employee Wellbeing* Critical Illness/Hospital Indemnity/Accident Insurance* 3 weeks PTO in your first year* Up to 60 hours Bonus PTO per yearJob Type: Full-timePay: Based on ExperienceSchedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pmEducation: High school or equivalent (Required)Work Location: In person, with sporadic availability to visit customers via car of plan on multi-day trips to develop and test at customer site (up to 10 times per year).Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hourWork Location: In person
