Patient Support CoordinatorLocation: Torrance, CA 90505 (100% Onsite) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM Duration: 13-week contract (with potential for extension) Pay Rate: $22.00–$30.00/hourPosition SummaryThe Support Coordinator I is responsible for delivering high-quality administrative and customer service support within a busy outpatient healthcare clinic. This role serves as a key point of contact for patients and plays an essential role in ensuring smooth clinic operations, accurate scheduling, and a positive patient experience.This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to build or expand their experience in a clinical setting while working in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.Key ResponsibilitiesGreet and assist patients, visitors, and staff in a professional and courteous mannerServe as the primary point of contact at the front desk, ensuring a welcoming and efficient check-in/check-out processSchedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments across multiple providers and specialtiesHandle high-volume inbound and outbound calls, addressing patient inquiries and routing messages appropriatelyPerform patient registration, insurance data entry, and encounter documentation within EMR/EHR systemsCoordinate referrals, authorizations, and follow-ups as neededMaintain accurate and up-to-date patient records while ensuring compliance with privacy regulationsSupport daily clinic preparation, including organizing schedules and ensuring operational readinessCollaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient flow and service deliveryAssist with additional administrative duties and special projects as assignedRequired QualificationsMinimum of 1–2 years of experience in a healthcare, medical office, or customer service environmentExperience in front desk operations, patient scheduling, or patient access functionsStrong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skillsProficiency with EMR/EHR systems and basic computer applicationsAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced settingProfessional demeanor with a strong commitment to patient servicePreferred QualificationsExperience working in a specialty clinic (e.g., orthopedics or similar)Knowledge of insurance verification, referrals, and authorization processesBilingual skills (Spanish preferred)Prior experience in a patient access center or care coordination roleEducation RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredWork Environment & Additional InformationFully onsite role based in Torrance, CABusiness casual dress code requiredFree onsite parking availableInitial training will be conducted at alternate nearby locations.
