Cargo Van Driver

Job Description The Cargo Van Driver will be responsible for operating a cargo van to deliver light packages primarily on local routes between New Jersey and New York. This role involves safe vehicle operation, accurate route navigation, and timely deliveries during standard daytime shifts. Drivers will maintain paper-based logs for deliveries and vehicle inspections, manage occasional customer interactions, and report maintenance needs as necessary. This role is two days a week: Monday and WednesdayWarehouse pickup in Hackensack to bring to store in NYC.ResponsibilitiesOperate cargo van safely on local NJ to NY routesFamiliar and comfortable with NYC traffic rulesNavigate assigned routes efficiently and on scheduleHandle and secure light packages under 500 lbsLoad and Unload vehicleEnsure compliance with safety regulationsMaintain delivery timeliness and accurate documentationUse paper-based logs for delivery and vehicle inspection reportingEngage in occasional customer interactions professionallyReport vehicle maintenance needs promptlyManage fuel consumption effectively Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent Preferred Qualifications3+ years of commercial driving experienceClean driving recordAbility to plan routes effectivelyStrong time management skillsGood problem-solving abilities
