Apply directly About The RoleAs a Cost Engineer you will review all aspects of the US business from pure COGS to overhead costs. From there, the conducted review will be translated by the Cost Engineer into savings and cost avoidance initiatives with the applicable teams. The ultimate closure of said initiatives will then be monitored and led by the Cost Engineer. Due to the wide scope of this role, it is expected that collaboration between different teams from manufacturing to finance occurs often. The person in this role will also be in the lead for creating and reviewing cost breakdowns for new and existing business.This role is situated at our rapidly growing US regional headquarters in Canton, MA which is a small but growing team, and will provide many opportunities to interact with all levels of the organization. You will work closely with the US Supply Chain, Finance, and Project Management Team, as well as the global Sourcing team. This is a hybrid position allowing for a flexible schedule whether in the office or at home.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive annual cost downs on all facets of the P&LReview bill of materials for cost improvements or component alternativesReview Man & Machine times for manufacturing optimization opportunitiesPrepare cost breakdown reviews for existing and new businessDefine associated improvement actions to realize identified cost savingsAnalyze business and market trends to identify cost savings and avoidanceCollaborate with stakeholders for opportunity identification and resource allocationWhat You BringBachelor’s or Master’s degree in technical or business-oriented field3 – 7 years of relevant work experienceFinancially oriented and comfortable with cost analysis and financial documentsCapable of performing analysis and associated action setting and closureExperience in project management, manufacturing, or supply chain managementExcellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills, up to executive levelExperience with ERP (SAP preferred) and data report (Power BI preferred) systemsEntrepreneurial and capable of working independently to find opportunity areasA passion for technologyAuthorized to work in the US
