We specialize in navigating constrained underwriting environments and helping clients maintain meaningful, sustainable coverage.Role OverviewThis is Five Bays Insurance Agency's first Account Executive and a foundational role in building a new kind of personal lines insurance agency. You will be on the ground floor helping define how we sell, place, and advise clients in some of the most challenging insurance markets, working closely with leadership to shape sales processes, underwriting workflows, and client experience. The role combines hands-on production with the opportunity to leverage AI-native tools developed across AACI Group to improve speed, accuracy, and outcomes, and is ideal for someone excited to build, influence, and grow with a modern, advisory-driven agency from day one.Key ResponsibilitiesQualify and close new personal P&C business. You will not be required to source and find candidates but rather quote and service ones that are brought into the agency.Manage the full sales cycle from discovery through bindGather and submit accurate underwriting informationWork with carriers, MGAs, wholesalers, and surplus lines markets to secure coverageAdvise clients on coverage options, pricing, and market constraintsSet expectations around inspections, underwriting requirements, and risk mitigationServicing requests from clients as neededQualifications3+ years of P&C insurance sales experienceActive Property & Casualty license (California or ability to obtain)Strong knowledge of homeowners insurance and related linesProven ability to close business in competitive or constrained marketsExcellent communication and organizational skillsDesire to embrace and incorporate advanced AI tooling into sales workflowsCompensation & BenefitsBase salary plus performance incentivesHealth benefits and paid time offGrowth opportunities within Five Bays and AACI GroupLocation & ReportingBased in Walnut Creek, CA, in our office 2-3 days a week.Reports to the CEOWhy Join UsThis is a rare opportunity to be on the ground floor of launching a next-generation insurance agency at the forefront of climate and housing challenges.
