Nursing Director of Infection Prevention
Job Overview:The Director of Infection Prevention is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating the organization's infection prevention and control program in accordance with best practices, regulatory requirements, and organizational goals. This role requires strong leadership, clinical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote a safe and compliant healthcare environment.Required Skills & Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Nursing, Education, Epidemiology, Public Health, Clinical Microbiology, or another health-related discipline
Three (3) to five (5) years of clinical experience in a healthcare-related field
Two (2) years of experience in an Infection Prevention or Epidemiology leadership role
Current national certification in Infection Control (CIC)
Strong understanding of infection control standards, regulatory requirements, and evidence-based practices
Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) program across the organization
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and practices to prevent and control infections
Conduct surveillance activities and analyze infection data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
Provide guidance and education to clinical and non-clinical staff on infection prevention protocols
Ensure compliance with CDC, OSHA, CMS, Joint Commission, and other regulatory standards
Collaborate with senior leadership, clinical teams, and external agencies to maintain a safe care environment
Lead outbreak investigations and implement corrective action plans when required

Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
