This role is responsible for formalizing business requirements, converting user feedback into actionable work items, improving enterprise application utilization (including Litify and iManage), and supporting structured project intake and roadmap governance.The Business Analyst will play a critical role in maturing technology governance, enabling cross-functional prioritization, and improving adoption, reporting, automation, and workflow efficiency across the firmKey ResponsibilitiesBusiness Requirements & Stakeholder EngagementPartner with Practice Leaders, Operations, HR, Finance, and IT to gather and document business requirementsTranslate user pain points into clearly defined business and functional requirementsFacilitate workshops and working sessions to redesign workflows by practice areaServe as liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignmentFeedback Intake & Issue Resolution ManagementDesign and manage a formalized firmwide feedback intake process (surveys, forms, pilot groups)Convert stakeholder frustrations and operational gaps into tracked work itemsDevelop and maintain dashboards tracking issue age, ownership, SLA, and statusPartner with accountable business owners to ensure timely resolutionPublish regular summaries of resolved issues and improvementsApplication Optimization & UtilizationConduct feature utilization reviews across Litify, iManage, and collaboration platformsAnalyze adoption data and identify underutilized modulesRecommend and prioritize optimization opportunitiesSupport deep-dive Litify workflow redesign, automation opportunities, and reporting improvementsAssist with modernization of iManage configuration, including metadata, workspace templates, search refinement, and automation workflowsProject Intake, Governance & RoadmappingSupport the development and operation of a PMO-style project intake and management systemDefine and document project business cases and scoring criteria (impact, urgency, security, compliance)Assist in maintaining a 24-36 month technology roadmapPrepare reporting materials for Technology Leadership Committee and firm leadershipEnsure projects have defined scope, measurable outcomes, and stakeholder accountabilityChange Management & Adoption SupportPartner with IT leadership to standardize change communication practicesContribute to release notes, training content, and stakeholder engagement plansSupport development of structured onboarding and role-based learning pathsHelp build and organize a centralized knowledge repository (guides, FAQs, templates, training materials)QualificationsRequired5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or IT Program AnalystExperience gathering and documenting business and functional requirementsStrong stakeholder facilitation skills across executive and operational levelsExperience with enterprise application optimization and workflow analysisStrong analytical skills with experience building dashboards and reporting metricsFamiliarity with structured project intake and governance processesPreferredExperience in a law firm or professional services environmentExperience with Litify (Salesforce-based systems)Experience with iManage or enterprise document management systemsExposure to change management frameworksExperience working within or helping establish PMO structuresCore CompetenciesCross-functional influence without direct authorityProcess redesign and workflow analysisData-driven decision makingStructured problem solvingClear written and verbal communicationExecutive-ready reportingSuccess Metrics (First 12-18 Months)Formalized intake and tracking of firmwide IT pain pointsMeasurable increase in application feature utilizationClear, prioritized technology roadmap adopted by leadershipReduction in unresolved or aging IT issuesImproved stakeholder satisfaction with IT responsiveness and communicationEqual Opportunity Employer
