Plant Engineer

Job Description We're seeking an experienced Plant Engineer to support our client's hydroelectric generation facilities. This role partners closely with project managers and plant teams to troubleshoot issues, define scopes, and execute electrical and hydro-related projects. This is a full-time contract (1 year) working onsite.This is a hands-on engineering role ideal for someone with utility or power generation experience who thrives in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide electrical engineering support for hydroelectric generation facilitiesCollaborate with 15+ project managers to define scope, solve problems, and deliver solutionsSupport multiple concurrent capital and maintenance projectsPerform engineering analysis and develop technical documentationWork cross-functionally with engineering, project management, and site teamsEnsure compliance with safety standards (including FR clothing and PPE onsite)QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering5+ years of experience in hydroelectric or utility power generation environmentsHands-on experience in an operational power plant settingProficiency with power system analysis tools (ETAP, SKM, or similar)Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and stakeholdersNice to HaveProfessional Engineer (PE) license or working toward certificationExperience in a regulated utility environmentBackground supporting capital projects at hydroelectric facilitiesWork Environment & TravelFrequent travel to project sites (multiple times per week)Mileage and travel expenses reimbursedWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected status.Company DescriptionGPA prides itself on providing quality, personalized services to its clients and candidates.
