Material Handler

*Reports To:* Materials Manager
*Job Types:* Full-time/Non-exempt
*Hours:* M-F, 7:00am-3:30pm
*Pay:* starting pay is $17.00 per hour
*PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:* The primary function of the Material Handler is to pull orders, wrap and process for shipping and unload containers, sort, and put items away. The person in this position will be cross trained in shipping- LTL, UPS and Receiving. Forklift experience required.
*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*
* Pull Orders
* Wrap and prepare for shipping
* Unload Trucks
* Sort, palatize, and put items away
*MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:*
Education: High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required
Preferred experience: 1 year working in shipping and receiving/or order picking
*KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:*
· Forklift certified is required
·Forklift or pallet jack is used to pull items, but there may be some heavy lifting from time to time.
· Experience using a pallet wrapper or willing to learn
· Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
· Good attention to detail when looking at letters and numbers as product numbers can be similar
· Must be able to work with a team, as well as, independently and follow instructions
· Basic data entry skills are necessary
Ability to lift 50-80 lbs with help
