Manufacturing EngineerLocation: Hurlock, MD (On-Site)Employment Type: Full-TimeOverviewWe are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to lead continuous improvement initiatives across production, packaging, and distribution operations. This role will focus on optimizing manufacturing processes, improving operational efficiency, implementing automation solutions, and developing data-driven systems to support scalable growth.The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), food & beverage, or a related manufacturing environment, combined with hands-on experience in process improvement, automation, analytics, and cross-functional project leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze current production, packaging, and distribution processes to identify opportunities for improving throughput, quality, labor utilization, and cost efficiency.Design and implement future-state workflows, facility layouts, and automation solutions to support operational growth.Collaborate with product development, operations, quality, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure products and processes are optimized for manufacturability and operational excellence.Lead capital improvement projects, including business case development, equipment specification, vendor management, installation, and performance validation.Develop and maintain real-time dashboards and KPI reporting systems to support data-driven decision-making.Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies.Facilitate Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and distribution operations.Integrate ERP, MES, WMS, and shop-floor data systems to improve visibility and eliminate manual processes.Conduct time studies, line balancing, capacity analysis, and production modeling.Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and train teams on new processes and systems.Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend automation and process improvement opportunities.Track project performance and ROI, including cost savings, productivity improvements, and service-level enhancements.QualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.4+ years of manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or continuous improvement experience.Experience within Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Food & Beverage, Packaging, or a related high-volume manufacturing environment.Demonstrated success driving improvements in productivity, quality, throughput, and cost reduction.Experience with manufacturing automation, material handling systems, and facility layout optimization.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable improvements.Experience using BI and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.PreferredAdvanced degree in Engineering or related discipline.Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Green Belt, PMP, or similar certification.Experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, robotics integration, and industrial automation projects.Proficiency with AutoCAD, Visio, or similar design and process mapping tools.Working knowledge of SQL and manufacturing data systems.Additional RequirementsAbility to travel as needed.Ability to work overtime when required.Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and working on a computer.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented manufacturing environment.BenefitsMedical Insurance (company contribution available)Optional Dental & Vision Coverage401(k) ProgramPaid Time Off and Company HolidaysCareer Growth and Development Opportunities
