Physical Therapist

Job Title: Physical Therapist (PT)Job Summary:The Physical Therapist evaluates, plans, and implements individualized treatment programs to restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities in patients with injuries, illnesses, or conditions affecting movement. The PT works closely with patients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal functional outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Evaluate patients' physical abilities through functional tests and objective measures.Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings, medical history, and patient goals.Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including exercises, manual therapy, modalities, and education.Instruct patients and caregivers on safe and effective exercise programs, mobility techniques, and injury prevention strategies.Monitor and document patient progress, modifying plans of care as needed.Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other members of the healthcare team.Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with regulations.Stay current with professional knowledge, continuing education, and licensing requirements.Qualifications:Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.CPR and First Aid certification preferred.Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Work Environment:May work in hospitals, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, schools, or home health settings.Requires standing, walking, lifting, and assisting patients with mobility.
