CNC Programmer
Overview
Carries out process improvement, problem resolution, project management and training.
Improves manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality and efficiency.
Assists department supervisor in improving a system of safety, production control, standard operating procedures, quality control and training.
Designs, develops, tests, sources and cost-justifies various machining tools, machinery and equipment for manufacturing methods.
Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new products and product updates including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results.
Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes including machining processes, production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.
The CNC Programmer will develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing tooling, process and methods in accordance with customer specifications and quality standards. The responsibilities include recommending and implementing improvements to production processes and controls as well as coordination of manufacturing launch for new or updated products. The successful candidate will work side-by-side with management to discover inefficiencies and opportunities and partner to bring process improvements to both the manufacturing operating systems and the shop floor.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
CNC Programming Carries out process improvement, problem resolution, project management and training

Assists department supervisor in improving a system of safety, production control, standard operating procedures, quality control and training
Designs, develops, tests, sources and cost-justifies various machining tools, machinery and equipment for manufacturing methods
Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new products and product updates including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results
Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes including machining processes, production flow, assembly methods and production equipment Experience and Education At least 5 years of machining experience in manufacturing, preferably in precision machining metals
Experience with CNC Programming required
Proficient in working with CAD/CAM systems; preferably Mastercam and Solidworks
Strong understanding of the concepts of mechanical metrology, tolerance ratios, technical specifications, and mathematical unit conversions
Experience in blueprint interpretation, shop math, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
Application of lean tools such as: 5-S standards, cellular layout, and single piece flow
Attention to detail and accuracy with skills in problem solving and root cause analysis
Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work in cross-functional teams and meet internal deadlines as set by management Technical Skills
Ability to use a computer and knowledge of Office 365Ability to write notes, instructions, and other written communication items
Physical Requirements
Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
Physically medium duty work required
Requires standing continuously and walking and sitting occasionally throughout the day
Able to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects up to 25 pounds frequently
Pay Range: $40-50 per hour
