The candidate is responsible for prompt, friendly, and efficient service to guests in accordance with Marriott standards of food and beverage quality, presentation, and cleanliness. The Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the leadership and supervision of all Bistro staff and daily functions.Maintain cleanliness of work areas including dry good storage, refrigerators and freezersAssist in training and coaching new team membersHandle all guest service complaints and compliments in a professional and timely mannerInput orders into cash register system and collect payment from guestsTake guest orders, prepare food and beverage items, distribute prepackaged and prepared food items, and deliver orders to tables as neededFollow and ensure compliance with food safety and handling policies and procedures, such as product rotation, First In-First Out; dating labeling, cleaning and organizing coolers/freezers/storage areas across all food-related departments and areasOperate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers and facilitate fryer oil changes as neededMaintain up-to-date knowledge of company Food Safety Programs within assigned area of responsibility, as well as all local, state, and federal regulationsWash and disinfect kitchen area including tables, tools, knives, and equipment to ensure sanitary conditions and meet the departmental standards, including using sanitizers required by health departmentPrepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and food preparation checklistDispense appropriate levels of alcohol; prepare drinks to recipe and Company standards. Consistently checks guests' identification and monitors guests' consumption of alcoholic beverages to ensure compliance with state and local liquor laws.Assist in the set-up and closing of the Bistro using the provided checklistsAssist in checking all fixtures, equipment and conditions (lights, heating/cooling, furniture, wallpaper, etc.) for proper operation.
