Customer Service Representative

Job Summary This position is available full-time or part-time, and open availability is strongly recommended. You must be available to work weekends and at any time between the hours of 4 a.m. and 11 p.m. It is also necessary to be available to work at other locations within our franchise in the event that emergency coverage is required.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Greet members, prospective members and guests by providing exceptional customer serviceHandle all front desk related activities not limited to: Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.Check ID and Member barcodes into the systemNew member sign-upTake prospective members on a tour of the clubFacilitate needed updates to member's accountsRespond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Assistant Club Manager as neededAssist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the clubAssist in monitoring for safety of persons and cleanliness in the clubThoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms, locker room areas, fitness equipment and gym floor.Stock locker rooms with proper supplies/paper products.Report any broken or missing amenities or equipment (Toilets, faucets, showers, hair dryers, gym equipment etc.) to the Club Manager.Follow "Lost and Found Policy" and turn in lost member property to the Club Manager/Assistant Club Manager immediately.Qualifications/Requirements Customer service background preferredBasic computer proficiencyA passion for fitness and healthUpbeat and positive attitude at all timesPunctuality and reliability is a mustExceptional customer service skills; able to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers, exceeding the member's expectationsStrong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solveDemonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and languageHigh School diploma/GED equivalent preferredMust be 18 years of age or olderPhysical Demands Continual standing and walking during shiftContinual talking in person with members and answering incoming membership callsMust be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbsWill dilute and clean with chemicals during shiftClean and sanitize equipment and often used surfaces in the clubMonitor club and assist members throughout entirety of shiftWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
