To learn more visit https://penske.jobs/benefits/Additional Benefits:Paid Time OffMedical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceLife Insurance401K with company matchAssociate Referral Program$125 Boot Allowance after 90 Days of Employment (where applicable)Our associates also enjoy numerous associate discounts and opportunities to grow with the organization!Job Responsibilities:Reads customer order to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributedConduct weekly one-to-one meetings with all pickers.Regularly provide input to the supervisor regarding the performance of direct reports.Monitor and address departmental metrics such as productivity and quality as directed by the supervisor or manager.Conduct daily start-up meetings to understand volume needs at the beginning of each shift.Pick orders accurately and ensure that all orders run through a pick/scan verification process.Ensure that all items picked physically are also picked electronically.Maintain warehouse aisles up to 5S standards.Under guidance of Warehouse Supervisor trains new employees.Guides warehouse employees in operational tasks.Escalates issues timely and directly to Supervisor.Completes other projects as assigned by the SupervisorQualifications:4 years of warehouse experience required2 years of inventory or materials management experience preferred2 years of supervisory experience preferredHigh School diploma or equivalent preferredPrior forklift certification preferredBasic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint preferredAbility to learn and use proprietary software requiredFlexible to work overtime preferredAbility to work in non-climate controlled conditionsAbility to lead a small team, ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexibility required, excellent with numbers, time management, and ability to execute are required.Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.This position is designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.
