This full-time Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) opportunity supports K-12 students across multiple schools in the Punta Gorda, FL area. The position is a contract role lasting through the current school year, providing valuable services to students in elementary, middle, and high school settings. As an SLPA, you will work with a caseload of approximately 50-55 students, delivering speech and language interventions under the supervision of certified speech-language pathologists.Key Responsibilities:Provide speech and language therapy support for students from PreK through 12th gradeImplement treatment plans created by licensed speech-language pathologistsMaintain accurate documentation and progress notes in alignment with school policiesCollaborate with educators, therapists, and families to support student communication goalsParticipate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs)Qualifications:Active Florida Department of Health SLPA license requiredExperience working with children in a school environment preferredAbility to manage a caseload of 50-55 students effectivelyClear background checks including fingerprinting through AHCA Clearinghouse or equivalentStrong interpersonal and communication skillsLocation & Schedule:On-site position in Punta Gorda, FloridaSupport multiple schools including elementary, middle, and high schools near the areaFull-time, up to 37.5 hours per weekThis role offers the chance to impact student communication and academic success through direct therapeutic support within a dynamic school environment.
