NextCare Urgent Care San Antonio, TX (US Highway 281)NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our San Antonio US Highway 281 clinic. This role is ideal for an experienced provider who is comfortable practicing independently.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and treat urgent care patients in accordance with clinical best practicesProvide compassionate, patient-centered care aligned with NextCare s mission and valuesIndependently manage patients in a solo-provider clinic settingDiagnose conditions and develop clear treatment plansAccurately document care in the electronic health record (EHR)Ensure appropriate coding and billingMaintain clinical productivity consistent with industry standardsSchedule & Clinic HoursFull-time positionClinic hours:Mon Fri: 8:00 AM 8:00 PMSat Sun: 9:00 AM 6:00 PMProviders typically work three 12-hour shifts per weekRotating weekends and holidays shared among the provider teamAssigned a home clinic at US Highway 281Occasional floating to nearby NextCare clinics may be required (within reasonable driving distance)QualificationsActive, unrestricted Texas medical licenseActive DEA registrationNCCPA certification (PA) or ANCC/AANP certification (NP FNP required)Bachelor s degree in PA studies or Master s degree in NursingActive BLS certificationComfortable treating patients of all agesStrong EHR proficiency1+ year of urgent care experience strongly preferredExperience practicing independently, including X-ray interpretation and minor proceduresDOT certification may be required (training provided if needed)BenefitsNextCare offers comprehensive benefits for full-time providers, including medical, dental, and vision insurance; CME and license reimbursement; malpractice insurance; paid time off; disability and life insurance options; and access to a 401(k) plan.
